Do you think for one minute that I'm not aware of what's going on in this world of ours? Curling is/was a slight distraction that I enjoy as it allowed me to escape for a couple of hours from what is truly happening. And by the way, my best friend (whom I haven't been able to see for the past several weeks) is a nurse and I miss her terribly.

I say even if it's July or August, give first dibs to original hosts for these championships, and if they won't / can't host, pick a place.....subliminal Canada, July in say lower East nowhere, is better than not at all .

Great reply. Yes I know the pandemic is a cruel thing BUT there is no way no how it is going to stop me from enjoying the things in life I have always enjoyed. So anyone wanting to keep posting curling stuff like team rumours, losing title chances, etc. just go ahead. This is a curling forum and does not have to shut down out of respect to the unfortunate situation we are in. As a matter of fact it is needed just as much now.

Well said. In addition to my games, various wildlife/animal related webcams that I'v have been watching, I have using sportsy related things as a much needed escape/getaway. From horse racing to curling related things from team updates, podcasts (and things such as playcurling.com matches with such attendees as Matt Dunstone participating), to virtual broomstacking sessions on Zoom (attendees include curlers from all levels of play from club curlers to Korey Dropkin, Colin Hodgson, Chris Plys etc) to watching old matches as a very much needed escape.

Thank you. Your comment makes me feel just a little less guilty.
