Manitoba native Kyle Doering (photo: Anil Mungal, GSOC) will join Reid Carruthers (Winnipeg, MB) ahead of KIOTI National. By Connor Simms, Carruthers(Winnipeg), with Catlin Schneider at third and Connor Njegovan at lead, added Kyle Doering to the roster at second. Carruthers long time second Derek Samagalski announced earlier this month that he was stepping away from the team, which left Carruthers searching for a second. Doering most recently played for Aaron Sluchinski, but that team parted ways when Sluchinski joined Kevin Koe (Edmonton, AB). Carruthers announced, "Team Carruthers would like to officially welcome Kyle Doering!". After seeing Kyle throw, it was pretty clear the team needed another stabilizer in the lineup" - Reid Carruthers. Carruthers needed to add someone from Manitoba for them to be eligible to compete at the Manitoba Men's Provincials for a spot at the 2025 Montana's Brier, as Schneider was the team's import player. The team fell to #24 in the Year-to-Date (YTD) rankings and is looking to grab some much-needed points at the Kioti National in St. John's, Newfoundland, to get back into the top 16.
