Hasselborg back on track in Karuizawa

The Swedish champs from Sundbyberg are in the win column at the Karuizawa Ice Park with a strong showing in Draw 3 against Korea's Park You-been.

It was a quick start for Hasselborg and her squad of Sofia Mabergs, Agnes Knochenhauer and alternate Johanna Heldin who is filling in for Sara McManus as they counted two in the opening end. This was matched by Park in the second end to knot the score at two all.

From there, the Swedes controlled the rest of the match, not allowing the Koreans another score. Following a single in the third, Hasselborg swiped two in the fourth end before taking a huge steal of four in the fifth end. They then tacked another single on the board to end the game early with a final score of 10-2.

Team Hasselborg now sit 1-1 in Japan after losing their opening game 6-3 to Sayaka Yoshimura. Saturday night, they will play their final round robin game against Edmonton's Selena Sturmay with the winner moving into the playoff round and the loser being eliminated.

One game per draw is being streamed on the Karuizawa International YouTube channel. Access the game through CurlingZone's Scoreboard by clicking the red play button.
