Myla Plett (Edmonton, AB) won 9-3 over Jolianne Fortin (Quebec, QC) in the Final of the New Holland Canadian U20 Junior Championships, held March 23 - 30, 2025 in Summerside, Prince Edward Island. Advancing directly to the semifinals, Plett won 10-3 over Nova Scotia's Rebecca Regan to advance to the championship game. of the 2025 New Holland Canadian U20 Junior Championships in Summerside, Prince Edward Island;
Plett finished 7-1 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Plett defeated Dominique Vivier (Oakville, ON) 8-4, then won 8-1 against Kate Weissent (Halifax, NS) and 10-6 against Cailey Locke (St. John's, NL). Plett won 8-7 against Sophie Blades (Cornwall, PEI), then won 9-2 against Anne Sophie Gionest (Saguenay, QC) and 12-5 against Cassidy Dundas (Winnipeg, MB). Plett went on to lose 7-5 against Melodie Forsythe (Fredericton, NB). Plett responded with a 10-6 win over Ava Beausoleil (Saskatoon, SK) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the New Holland Canadian U20 Junior Championships Championship title, Plett earned 7.500 world rankings points, moving up 2 spots the World Ranking Standings into 38th place overall with 79.626 total points. Plett ranks 38th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 79.626 points earned so far this season.
