Danielle Inglis (Ottawa, ON) won 8-4 over Chelsea Brandwood (Niagara Falls, ON) in the Final of the Ontario Womens Curling Championship, held January 19 - 26 in Cobourg, Ontario.
Inglis finished 4-1 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Inglis lost 7-6 to Hollie Duncan (Woodstock, ON), then responded with a 6-3 win over Katie Ford (Guelph, ON). Inglis won 6-5 against Isabelle Ladouceur (Whitby, ON), then won 10-6 against Shelley Hardy (Sarnia, ON) to advance to the B-Qualifier where they 8-5 against Brandwood to advance to the playoff round. in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Ontario Womens Curling Championship Championship title, Inglis earned 18.750 world rankings points. Inglis move up 2 spots after posting a net gain of 16.5 points improving upon their best 7 results so far this season, ranking 31st overall with 113.423 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Inglis ranks 31st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 77.063 points earned so far this season.
