Chelsea Brandwood (Niagara Falls, ON) lost 8-4 to Danielle Inglis (Ottawa, ON) in the Final of the Ontario Womens Curling Championship, held January 19 - 26 in Cobourg, Ontario. To advance to the championship game, Brandwood won 6-3 over Hailey Armstrong (Toronto, ON) in the semifinals of the Ontario Womens Curling Championship in Cobourg, Ontario;
Brandwood finished 4-2 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Brandwood defeated Carly Howard (Toronto, ON) 8-6, then won 6-5 against Isabelle Ladouceur (Whitby, ON) to advance to a A-Qualifier game where they lost 10-8 against Armstrong. Brandwood responded with a 8-1 win over Howard to advance to a B-Qualifier game where they lost 8-5 against Inglis to drop into a C-Qualifier game where they responded with a 6-4 win over Ladouceur to advance to the playoff round. in their final qualifying round match.
With their runner-up finish at the Ontario Womens Curling Championship, Brandwood take home 13.750 world rankings points, moving up 2 spots the World Ranking Standings into 45th place overall with 78.422 total points. Brandwood ranks 38th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 69.625 points earned so far this season.
