Scott Howard (Navan, ON) lost 7-4 to Sam Mooibroek (Whitby, ON) in the Final of the Ontario Mens Curling Championship, held January 19 - 26, 2025 in Cobourg, Ontario. To advance to the championship game, Howard won 7-3 over Mark Kean (Woodstock, ON) in the semifinals of the 2025 Ontario Mens Curling Championship in Cobourg, Ontario;

Howard finished 4-1 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Howard defeated Landan Rooney (Little Current, NO) 12-9, then went on to lose 11-8 against Kean. Howard responded with a 8-2 win over Jayden King (London, ON). Howard won 9-1 against Jonathan Beuk (Kingston, ON) to advance to the B-Qualifier where they 8-3 against Kean to advance to the playoff round. in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Ontario Mens Curling Championship, Howard take home 13.750 world rankings points. Howard move up 3 spots after posting a net gain of 11.687 points improving upon their best 7 results so far this season, ranking 27th overall with 126.875 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Howard ranks 26th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 97.000 points earned so far this season.
