Girard won 11-9 against Quebec's Raphael Patry, then won 9-8 against Jean-Sebastien Roy (Des Collines, QC). Girard went on to lose 6-5 against Robert Desjardins (Chicoutimi, QC) in their final qualifying round match.

Girard earned 1.500 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 25 of the event schedule, Girard did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Girard ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
