Bjoernstad finished 6-3 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Bjoernstad lost 10-2 to Yuina Miura (Nayoro, JPN), then responded with a 8-1 win over Andie McDonald (Phoenix , USA). Bjoernstad won 11-1 against Camilla Gilberti (Verona, ITA), then won 6-3 against Laura Watt (Stirling, GBR). Bjoernstad went on to lose 4-3 against Junhang Pei (Beijing, CHN). Bjoernstad lost 5-4 to Kang where Bjoernstad responded with a 8-7 win over Moa Dryburgh (Sundbyberg , SWE). Bjoernstad won 5-3 against Gray-Withers, then won 8-2 against Julia Dyderska (Warsaw, POL) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their fourth place finish at the FISU World University Games, Bjoernstad take home 8.000 world rankings points, moving up 4 spots the World Ranking Standings into 66th place overall with 45.782 total points. Bjoernstad ranks 68th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 34.063 points earned so far this season.
