Korea's Suhyeon Kim finished 3-4 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Korea's Suhyeon Kim lost 5-4 to Bobae Kang (Songhyun, KOR), then responded with a 11-8 win over Eunjung Kim (Gangneung, KOR). Korea's Suhyeon Kim went on to lose 9-4 against Hanbyeol Park (Gyeongbuk, KOR). Korea's Suhyeon Kim lost 5-3 to Eun ji Gim (Gyeonggido, KOR) where Korea's Suhyeon Kim responded with a 11-2 win over Korea's Gyuri Kim. Korea's Suhyeon Kim won 8-6 against Korea's Eunchae Lee. Korea's Suhyeon Kim went on to lose 6-2 against Seungyoun Ha (Chuncheon, KOR) in their final qualifying round match.

Korea's Suhyeon Kim earned 6.188 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins.
