To advance to the championship game, Roenning/Braenden won 5-3 over Tahli Gill/Dean Hewitt (Brisbane, AUS) in the semifinals of the Mixed Doubles Super Series - Fredericton in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada; and won 6-5 over Tori Koana/Go Aoki (Yamanasshi, JPN) in the quarterfinals.
Roenning/Braenden finished 3-1 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Roenning/Braenden lost 7-5 to Kaldvee/Lill, then responded with a 9-7 win over Marlee Powers/Luke Saunders (Halifax, NS). Roenning/Braenden won 9-0 against Sierra Tracy/Noah Riggs (Fredericton, NB), then won 7-3 against Jenna Campbell/James Carr (Fredericton, NB) in their final qualifying round match.
