Ben Kiist (Edmonton, AB) won 5-4 over Johnson Tao (Edmonton, AB) in the Final of the Saville U25 Challenge, held November 22 - 24 at the Saville Community Sports Centre in Edmonton, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Kiist won 7-1 over Adam Elsenheimer (Edmonton, AB) in the semifinals of the Saville U25 Challenge in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada; and won 6-2 over Kolby MacDonald (Edmonton, AB) in the quarterfinals. of the Saville U25 Challenge in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada;
Kiist finished 2-1 in the 13-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Kiist lost 8-5 to Zach Davies (Edmonton, AB), then responded with a 7-1 win over James Ballance (Okotoks/Edmonton, AB). Kiist won 10-2 against Logan Ede (Saskatoon, SK) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Saville U25 Challenge Championship title, Kiist earned 7.500 world rankings points along with the $2,400CDN first prize cheque. For week 17 of the event schedule, Kiist did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Kiist ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
