To advance to the championship game, Fujisawa won 9-3 over Ikue Kitazawa (Nagano, JPN) in the semifinals of the Saville Shootout in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada; and won 9-5 over Myla Plett (Edmonton, AB) in the quarterfinals. of the Saville Shootout in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada;
Fujisawa finished 4-1 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Fujisawa defeated Jolene Campbell (Regina, SK) 7-4, then went on to lose 10-3 against Kitazawa. Fujisawa responded with a 6-4 win over Christine McMakin (Fargo, ND). Fujisawa won 8-1 against Kaylee McNamee (Calgary, AB), then won 7-4 against Jessica McCartney (Saskatoon, SK) in their final qualifying round match.
With their runner-up finish at the Saville Shootout, Fujisawa take home 35.750 world rankings points along with the $4,000CDN prize. For week 6 of the event schedule, Fujisawa did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Fujisawa ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
