Shawna Simpson (Regina, SK) 8-5, then won 8-5 against Andra Todd (Swift Current, SK) to advance to a A-Qualifier game where they lost 6-1 against Jenna Pomedli (Saskatoon, SK). Rugg responded with a 8-7 win over Chloe Semeniuk (North Battleford, SK) to advance to a B-Qualifier game where they lost 9-2 against Ava Beausoleil (Saskatoon, SK) to drop into a C-Qualifier game where they responded with a 8-1 win over Todd to advance to the playoff round.. Rugg went on to lose 4-2 against Chloe Johnston (Regina, SK) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Rugg earned 2.000 world rankings points for their Top 4 finish in the Saskatchewan U20 Junior Provincials, moving up 55 spots the World Ranking Standings into 217th place overall with 2.563 total points.
