Shuster finished 6-1 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Shuster defeated Anton Hood (Naseby, NZL) 10-2, then won 7-6 against JaeBeom Lee (Uiseong, KOR) and 9-2 against Australia's Steve Johns. Shuster went on to lose 7-5 against Gushue. Shuster responded with a 8-6 win over Xu. Shuster won 9-3 against Ken Hsu (Taipei City, TPE), then won 8-2 against Shinya Abe (Sapporo, JPN) in their final qualifying round match.

With their third place finish at the Pan-Continental Championships, Shuster earn 21.250 world rankings points. For week 14 of the event schedule, Shuster did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Shuster ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
