In their opening game, Aoki defeated Antoni Frynia (Lodz, POL) 10-2, then won 7-6 against Matthaus Hofer (Kitzbuehel, AUT) and 6-3 against Johnson Tao (Edmonton, CAN). Aoki won 8-5 against Selahattin Eser (Erzurum, TUR), then won 7-3 against Eduard Nikolov (Kyiv, UKR) and 9-2 against Aidos Alliyar (Almaty, KAZ) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Aoki earned 3.000 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the World Junior-B Curling Championships, moving up 76 spots the World Ranking Standings into 253rd place overall with 5.461 total points. Aoki ranks 205th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 5.250 points earned so far this season.
