Xenia Schwaller (Zurich, SUI) won 9-4 over Tova Sundberg (Ostersund, SWE) in the Final of the Match Town Trophy, held October 12 - 15 in Jonkoping, Sweden. Advancing directly to the semifinals, Schwaller won 9-4 over Marie Kaldvee (Tallinn, EST) to advance to the championship game. of the Match Town Trophy in Jonkoping, Sweden;

Schwaller finished 3-0 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Schwaller defeated Sundberg 9-2, then won 10-3 against Amanda Halvarsson (Sundbyberg, SWE) and 4-2 against Anna Kubeskova (Prague, CZE) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Match Town Trophy Championship title, Schwaller earned 15.000 world rankings points along with the $2,000CDN first prize cheque. Schwaller move up 1 spots after posting a net gain of 13.125 points improving upon their best 3 results so far this season, ranking 35th overall with 108.312 total points on the World Ranking Standings.
