Daniel Casper (Chaska, MN) won 6-1 over Rich Ruohonen (Minneapolis, MN) in the Final of the St. Paul Cashspiel, held October 13 - 15, 2023 at the St. Paul Curling Club in St. Paul, . To advance to the championship game, Casper won 7-2 over Ethan Sampson (Chaska, MN) in the semifinals of the 2023 St. Paul Cashspiel in St. Paul;
Casper finished 3-1 in the 11-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Casper defeated Bob Leclair (Tempe, AZ) 6-5, then won 5-3 against Mason Guentzel (Saint Paul, MN). Casper went on to lose 9-5 against Trevor Bonot (Thunder Bay, NONT). Casper responded with a 9-2 win over Wesley Wendling (Wausau, WI) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the St. Paul Cashspiel Championship title, Casper earned 7.500 world rankings points along with the $5,000CDN first prize cheque. For week 12 of the event schedule, Casper did not improve upon their best events, remaining at 25th place on the World Ranking Standings with 143.719 total points. Casper ranks 23rd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 48.000 points earned so far this season.
