Smith finished 3-1 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Smith lost 7-5 to Carter Small (Fredericton, NB), then responded with a 11-0 win over Colten Steele (Dartmouth, NS). Smith won 7-3 against Trent Skanes (St. John's, NL), then won 7-3 against Tyler Smith (Charlottetown, PEI) in their final qualifying round match.

Smith earned 4.500 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Superstore Monctonian Challenge, moving up 3 spots the World Ranking Standings into 67th place overall with 53.975 total points.
