Gosgens finished 4-2 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Gosgens defeated Zach Davies (Edmonton, AB) 9-4, then went on to lose 6-1 against Kapp. Gosgens lost 8-7 to Owen Purcell (Halifax, NS) where Gosgens responded with a 10-4 win over Davies. Gosgens won 10-6 against Purcell, then won 6-5 against Yusuke Morozumi (Karuizawa, JPN) in their final qualifying round match.

Gosgens earned 23.375 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the HUB International Alberta Curling Series Major. Gosgens move up 2 spots after posting a net gain of 18.875 points improving upon their best 2 results so far this season, ranking 13th overall with 212.375 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Gosgens ranks 24th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 27.875 points earned so far this season.
