Brad Gushue (St. John's, NL) run at the 2023 HearingLife Tour Challenge Tier 1 came to an end in the semifinals with a 6-3 loss to Brendan Bottcher (Calgary, AB). of the 2023 HearingLife Tour Challenge Tier 1 in Niagara Falls, Ontario; Gushue advanced through the quarterfinals with a 7-2 win over Reid Carruthers (Winnipeg, MB). of the 2023 HearingLife Tour Challenge Tier 1 in Niagara Falls, Ontario;

Gushue finished 3-1 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Gushue defeated Aaron Sluchinski (Airdrie, AB) 8-2, then won 6-5 against Bottcher. Gushue went on to lose 6-5 against Yannick Schwaller (Geneve, SUI). Gushue responded with a 7-3 win over Magnus Ramsfjell (Trondheim, NOR) in their final qualifying round match.

Gushue earned 42.500 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the HearingLife Tour Challenge Tier 1. Gushue move up 1 spots after posting a net gain of -9.625 points improving upon their best 4 results so far this season, ranking 3rd overall with 341.750 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Gushue ranks 13th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 81.125 points earned so far this season.
