Scottish Curling Championships qualifying round, held February 6 - 12, 2023 at the Dumfries Ice Bowl in Dumfries, Scotland. In their opening game, Carson lost 6-2 to Ross Whyte (Stirling, SCO), then responded with a 6-5 win over Kyle Waddell (Glasgow, SCO). Carson went on to lose 9-1 against Bruce Mouat (Stirling, SCO). Carson responded with a 7-2 win over Jack Strawhorn (Dumfries, SCO). Carson won 8-2 against Ross R.Craik (Stirling, SCO), then won 9-8 against Cameron Bryce (Stirling, SCO). Carson went on to lose 7-6 against James J.Craik (Stirling, SCO) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Carson earned 8.250 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 28 of the event schedule, Carson did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Carson ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
