To advance to the championship game, Walter won 8-5 over Kaitlyn Lawes (Winnipeg, MB) in the semifinals of the 2023 Manitoba Scotties in East St. Paul, Manitoba;
Walter finished 5-3 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Walter defeated Alyssa Calvert (Carberry, MB) 10-4, then won 10-3 against Grace Beaudry (Winnipeg, MB). Walter went on to lose 9-8 against Lisa McLeod (Portage La Prarie, MB). Walter responded with a 9-3 win over Kristy Watling (Winnipeg, MB). Walter went on to lose 10-7 against Jones. Walter lost 12-7 to Lawes where Walter responded with a 9-1 win over Darcy Robertson (Winnipeg , MB). Walter won 9-5 against Beth Peterson (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
With their runner-up finish at the Manitoba Scotties, Walter take home 19.250 world rankings points, remaining in 15th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 13.75 after improving upon their best so far this season. Walter ranks 12th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 160.500 points earned so far this season.
