Daniel Casper (Chaska, MN) lost 8-3 to John Shuster (Duluth, MN) in the Final of the USA Curling National Championships, held February 5 - 13, 2023 in Denver, Colorado. To advance to the championship game, Casper won 8-5 over Korey Dropkin (Duluth, MN) in the semifinals of the 2023 USA Curling National Championships in Denver, Colorado;

Casper finished 6-1 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Casper lost 10-7 to Dropkin, then responded with a 9-4 win over Darryl Sobering (Denver, CO). Casper won 9-8 against Rich Ruohonen (Chaska, MN), then won 8-2 against Ethan Sampson (Chaska, MN) and 10-3 against Shuster. Casper won 10-1 against Jason Smith (Nashville, TN), then won 8-2 against Scott Dunnam (Philadelphia, PA) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the USA Curling National Championships, Casper take home 30.250 world rankings points. For week 28 of the event schedule, Casper did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Casper ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
