Hailey Armstrong (Waterloo, ON) needed a tiebreaker to advance to the playoffs, Armstrong finished 2-1 in the 20 team Stu Sells Brantford NISSAN Classic qualifying round, held December 2 - 5, 2022 at the Brantford Golf and Country Club in Brantford, Canada. In their opening game, Armstrong lost 7-3 to Carly Howard (Mississauga, ON), then responded with a 4-3 win over Michele Jaeggi (Bern, SUI). Armstrong won 8-1 against Emma Acres (Ottawa, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
