Sturmay finished 3-0 in the 14 team McKee Homes Fall Curling Classic qualifying round, held October 7 - 10 at the Airdrie Curling Club in Airdrie, Canada. In their opening game, Sturmay defeated Warren Kozak (Calgary, AB) 8-2, then won 7-6 against Warren Cross (Edmonton, AB) and 8-3 against Parent in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the McKee Homes Fall Curling Classic Championship title, Sturmay earned 22.500 world rankings points along with the $3,200CDN first prize cheque. Sturmay move up 1 spots after posting a net gain of 7.251 points improving upon their best 3 results so far this season, ranking 19th overall with 142.245 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Sturmay ranks 13th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 66.000 points earned so far this season.
