In their opening game, Lawes defeated Beth Farmer (Stirling, SCO) 10-2, then won 7-4 against Maia Ramsfjell (Lillehammer, NOR) and 5-3 against Stefania Constantini (Cortina d'Ampezzo, ITA). Lawes won 6-4 against Raphaela Keiser (St. Moritz, SUI), then won 4-3 against Roervik in their final qualifying round match.
