Anna Hasselborg (Sundbyberg, SWE) won 5-3 over Kaitlyn Lawes (Winnipeg, MB) in the Final of the Oslo Cup, held September 2 - 4, 2022 in Oslo, Norway. To advance to the championship game, Hasselborg won 8-0 over Isabella Wrana (Sundbyberg , SWE) in the semifinals
Hasselborg finished 4-1 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Hasselborg defeated Eirin Mesloe (Lillehammer, NOR) 8-2, then went on to lose 7-6 against Wrana. Hasselborg responded with a 7-3 win over Michele Jaeggi (Bern, SUI). Hasselborg won 7-2 against Marie Kaldvee (Tallinn, EST), then won 5-2 against Rebecca Morrison (Stirling, SCO) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Oslo Cup Championship title, Hasselborg earned 37.500 world rankings points along with the $5,259CDN first prize cheque, remaining in 1st place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 375.762 total points. Hasselborg ranks 5th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 37.500 points earned so far this season.
