Candace Teixeira (Massachusetts) finished 1-4 in the 0 team USA Curling 5U National Championship qualifying round, held May 12 - 15, 2022 at the Southern California Curling Center in Vernon, United States. In their opening game, Teixeira lost 10-2 to Austin Binish (Wisconsin), then responded with a 7-3 win over Steven Smith (Michigan). Teixeira went on to lose 11-3 against Erik Sanders (Washington). Teixeira lost 10-5 to Neil Pifer (North Carolina). Teixeira lost 12-6 to Jason Moreland (Oregon) in their final qualifying round match.

Teixeira ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
