Xenia Schwaller (Zürich, SUI) won 8-5 over Rebecca Morrison (Stirling, SCO) in the Final of the St. Galler Elite Challenge, held January 20 - 23, 2023 in St. Gallen, Switzerland. To advance to the championship game, Schwaller won 8-4 over Madeleine Dupont (Hvidovre, DEN) in the semifinals of the 2023 St. Galler Elite Challenge in St. Gallen, Switzerland; and won 8-2 over Kathrine Blackham (Basel, SUI) in the quarterfinals.
 
Schwaller finished 3-0 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Schwaller defeated Michele Jaeggi (Bern, SUI) 7-4, then won 5-2 against Lucy Blair (Stirling, SCO) and 6-4 against Nora Wuest (Wallisellen, SUI) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the St. Galler Elite Challenge Championship title, Schwaller earned 22.500 world rankings points along with the $5,856CDN first prize cheque. For week 25 of the event schedule, Schwaller did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Schwaller ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
