Schwaller finished 4-1 in the 10 team Curling Stadium Martensville International qualifying round, held September 1 - 5 at the Martensville Curling Club in Martensville, Canada. In their opening game, Schwaller lost 6-4 to Yanagisawa, then responded with a 9-2 win over John Epping (Toronto, ON). Schwaller won 10-3 against Kyler Kleibrink (Calgary, AB), then won 5-2 against Michael Brunner (Bern, SUI) and 4-2 against Kody Hartung (Saskatoonc, SK) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Curling Stadium Martensville International Championship title, Schwaller earned 33.750 world rankings points along with the $10,000CDN first prize cheque, moving up 5 spots the World Ranking Standings into 11th place overall with 169.293 total points. Schwaller ranks 3rd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 63.500 points earned so far this season.
