In their opening game, Fenson lost 8-4 to Reid Carruthers (Winnipeg, MB), then responded with a 7-6 win over Dallan Muyres (Saskatoon , SK). Fenson went on to lose 6-2 against Karsten Sturmay (Edmonton, AB). Fenson lost 8-1 to Mike McEwen (Toronto, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
