Koe finished 3-0 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Koe defeated Ryan Parent (Calgary, AB) 8-6, then won 6-5 against Aaron Sluchinski (Calgary, AB) and 6-3 against Carruthers in their final qualifying round match.
