Kitazawa went on to lose 11-3 against Silvana Tirinzoni (Aarau, SUI). Kitazawa lost 1-0 to Eunjung Kim (Gangneung, KOR) in their final qualifying round match.

Kitazawa earned 23.264 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins.
