Scott Howard (Penetanguishene, ON) won 5-3 over John Epping (Toronto, ON) in the Final of the Ontario Tankard, held February 9 - 13, 2022 in Port Elgin, Ontario.

Howard finished 4-1 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Howard defeated Fraser Reid (Waterloo, ON) 7-6, then won 7-3 against Pat Ferris (Grimsby, ON) to advance to a A-Qualifier game where they lost 8-6 against Epping. Howard responded with a 7-4 win over Dylan Niepage (Guelph, ON) to advance to the B-Qualifier where they 7-5 against Scott Mitchell (Whitby, ON) to advance to the playoff round. in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Ontario Tankard Championship title, Howard earned 30.844 world rankings points. Howard move up 5 spots after posting a net gain of 28.898 points improving upon their best 6 results so far this season, ranking 9th overall with 234.221 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Howard ranks 6th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 188.085 points earned so far this season.
