Kaldvee/Lill finished 4-0 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Kaldvee/Lill defeated Sanita Saulgrieze/Janis Redlihs (Riga, LAT) 12-2, then won 9-1 against Gunta Millere/Aivars Purmalis (Riga, LAT) and 11-6 against Iluta Linde/Janis Rudzitis (Riga, LAT). Kaldvee/Lill won 9-3 against Evita Regza/Aleksandrs Baranovskis (Riga, LAT) in their final qualifying round match.
