John Epping (Toronto, ON) won 7-5 over Kevin Koe (Calgary, AB) in the Final To advance to the championship game, Epping won 5-0 over Mike McEwen (Winnipeg, MB) in the semifinals
Epping finished 3-0 in the 12 team ATB Banff Classic qualifying round, held December 17 - 19, 2021 at the Banff Curling Club in Banff, Canada. In their opening game, Epping defeated Jacob Libbus (Okotoks, AB) 5-0, then won 6-5 against Rylan Kleiter (Saskatoon, SK) and 6-2 against Koe in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the ATB Banff Classic Championship title, Epping earned 43.646 world rankings points along with the $9,000CDN first prize cheque. Epping move up 1 spots after posting a net gain of 37.458 points improving upon their best 4 results so far this season, ranking 6th overall with 338.778 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Epping ranks 14th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 116.122 points earned so far this season.
