To advance to the championship game, Violette won 5-3 over Rich Ruohonen (Minneapolis, MN) in the semifinals of the 2021 Curve US Open of Curling - Championships in Blaine, Minnesota, United States;
Violette finished 3-1 in the 9-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Violette defeated Jed Brundidge (East St. Paul, MN) 8-2, then went on to lose 7-6 against Ruohonen. Violette responded with a 9-2 win over Daniel Casper (Chaska, MN). Violette won 8-1 against Kevin Tuma (SAINT PAUL, MN) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Curve US Open of Curling - Championships Championship title, Violette earned 26.231 world rankings points along with the $5,061CDN first prize cheque. Violette move up 39 spots after posting a net gain of 39.61 points improving upon their best 2 results so far this season, ranking 27th overall with 68.672 total points on the World Ranking Standings.
