Harty finished 5-1 in the 12 team ATB Banff Classic qualifying round, held October 15 - 18, 2020 at the Banff Curling Club in Banff, Canada. In their opening game, Harty defeated Ryan Jacques (Edmonton, AB) 7-6, then won 6-3 against Ted Appelman (Edmonton, AB) and 8-5 against Brendan Bottcher (Edmonton, AB). Harty went on to lose 8-5 against Koe. Harty responded with a 8-7 win over Evan van Amsterdam (Edmonton, AB). Harty won 5-4 against Bottcher in their final qualifying round match.
