Parent finished 3-1 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Parent defeated Ted Appelman (Edmonton , AB) 9-4, then went on to lose 7-4 against Justin Runciman (Sherwood Park, AB). Parent responded with a 6-5 win over Matt Willerton (Edmonton, AB). Parent won 5-4 against Warren Cross (Edmonton, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Alberta Curling Series: Camrose, Parent take home 9.670 world rankings points along with the $1,378CDN prize, moving up 58 spots the World Ranking Standings into 155th place overall with 17.281 total points.
