English Curling Championships qualifying round, held February 6 - 9, 2020 at the Dumfries Ice Bowl in Dumfries, Scotland. In their opening game, Retchless lost 9-6 to Andrew Woolston (Kent, ENG), then responded with a 9-3 win over Owen Rees (Brighton, ENG). Retchless won 8-4 against Stuart Brand (Kent, ENG), then won 9-3 against Rees and 8-4 against Woolston. Retchless won 8-2 against Brand in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the English Curling Championships, Retchless take home 3.919 world rankings points. Retchless move up 26 spots after posting a net gain of 2.866 points improving upon their best 8 results so far this season, ranking 173rd overall with 15.306 total points on the World Ranking Standings.
