In their opening game, Wiebe lost 6-5 to Jordon McDonald (Winnipeg, MB), then responded with a 10-2 win over Josh Maisey (Manitoba). Wiebe won 6-3 against Jack Hykaway (Winnipeg, MB), then won 10-9 against Joshua Friesen (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
