MacDougall went on to lose 7-3 against James Grattan (Oromocto, NB). MacDougall responded with a 7-1 win over Nova Scotia's Andrew Gibson. MacDougall won 7-4 against Ed Cyr (Fredericton, NB) in their final qualifying round match.
