In their opening game, Kamada lost 1-0 to Sato, then responded with a 8-1 win over Kazune Eugene-Fei (British Columbia). Kamada won 5-3 against Brayden Carpenter (British Columbia), then won 9-3 against Preston Ballard (British Columbia) in their final qualifying round match.
