Rachel Homan (Ottawa, ON) won 9-4 over Tracy Fleury (East St. Paul, MB) in the Final Homan advanced directly to the championship game after finishing first in the preliminary round. of the Home Hardware Canada Cup of Curling, held November 27 - December 1, 2019 in Leduc, Alberta.
Homan finished 5-1 in the 7-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Homan defeated Robyn Silvernagle (North Battleford, SK) 8-5, then went on to lose 6-4 against Chelsea Carey (Calgary, AB). Homan responded with a 10-7 win over Fleury. Homan won 8-3 against Cheryl Bernard (Lethbridge, AB), then won 5-4 against Kerri Einarson (Winnipeg, MB) and 7-5 against Jennifer Jones (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Home Hardware Canada Cup of Curling Championship title, Homan earned 83.585 world rankings points along with the $40,000CDN first prize cheque. Homan move up 1 spots after posting a net gain of 30.613 points improving upon their best 7 results so far this season, ranking 3rd overall with 516.417 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Homan ranks 5th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 251.560 points earned so far this season.
