Eve Muirhead (Stirling, SCO) won 5-4 over Alina Kovaleva (Saint-Petersburg, RUS) in the Final To advance to the championship game, Muirhead won 8-2 over Anna Sidorova (Moscow, RUS) in the semifinals of the 2019 WCT Arctic Cup in Dudinka, Russia;
Muirhead finished 4-0 in the 9 team WCT Arctic Cup qualifying round, held May 22 - 27, 2019 in , . In their opening game, Muirhead defeated Isabella Wrana (Stockholm, SWE) 7-3, then won 3-2 against Kovaleva and 13-1 against Anna Venevtseva (Krasnoyarsk, RUS). Muirhead won 7-2 against KyeongAe Kim (Uiseong, KOR) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the WCT Arctic Cup Championship title, Muirhead earned 42.969 world rankings points along with the $24,308CDN first prize cheque. For week 41 of the event schedule, Muirhead did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Muirhead ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
