Advancing directly to the semifinals, Hegner won 10-2 over Daniela Jentsch (Fuessen, GER) to advance to the championship game. of the 2018 City of Perth Ladies International in Perth, Scotland;
Hegner finished 5-0 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Hegner defeated Maggie Wilson (Stirlign, SCO) 9-0, then won 7-4 against Maia Ramsfjell (Jar, NOR) and 7-6 against Aline Fellmann (Schaffhausen, SUI). Hegner won 4-3 against Rebecca Morrison (Stirling, SCO), then won 5-4 against Jentsch in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the City of Perth Ladies International Championship title, Hegner earned 21.370 world rankings points along with the $7,630CDN first prize cheque, moving up 6 spots the World Ranking Standings into 39th place overall with 117.457 total points. Hegner ranks 28th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 101.979 points earned so far this season.
