Jacobs finished 3-1 in the 15 team GSOC Tour Challenge Tier 1 qualifying round, held November 6 - 11, 2018 in , . In their opening game, Jacobs defeated Bottcher 5-4, then won 5-3 against Braden Calvert (Winnipeg, MB) and 5-1 against Glenn Howard (Penetanguishe, ON). Jacobs went on to lose 3-1 against Kevin Koe (Calgary, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the GSOC Tour Challenge Tier 1 Championship title, Jacobs earned 79.196 world rankings points along with the $20,000CDN first prize cheque, moving up 2 spots the World Ranking Standings into 5th place overall with 409.533 total points. Jacobs ranks 3rd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 207.209 points earned so far this season.
