Niklas Edin (Karlstad, SWE) finished 7-2 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Edin defeated Rasmus Stjerne (Hvidovre, DEN) 9-5, then won 7-2 against Chang-Min Kim (Uiseong, KOR) and 10-4 against John Shuster (Duluth, USA). Edin won 8-6 against Kyle Smith (Perth, UK), then won 5-2 against Kevin Koe (Calgary, CAN) and 11-4 against Yusuke Morozumi (Karuizawa, JPN). Edin went on to lose 10-3 against Peter De Cruz (Geneva, SUI). Edin responded with a 7-3 win over Joel Retornaz (Trentino, ITA). Edin went on to lose 7-2 against Thomas Ulsrud (Oslo, NOR) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Pyeongchang Winter Games - Men, Edin take home 83.119 world rankings points, remaining in 1st place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 42.448 after improving upon their best so far this season. Edin ranks 1st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 455.019 points earned so far this season.
