In their opening game, Koe defeated Steve Laycock (Saskatoon, SK) 6-3, then won 8-6 against Brad Jacobs (Sault Ste Marie, ON) and 6-5 against Reid Carruthers (Winnipeg, MB). Koe won 7-6 against Brendan Bottcher (Edmonton, AB), then won 6-5 against McEwen and 6-4 against John Epping (Toronto, ON). Koe won 7-4 against John Morris (Vernon, BC). Koe went on to lose 6-3 against Brad Gushue (St. John's, NL) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Tim Hortons Roar of the Rings Championship title, Koe earned 89.009 world rankings points, moving up 2 spots the World Ranking Standings into 3rd place overall with 696.007 total points. Koe ranks 3rd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 312.837 points earned so far this season.
